Practice Clarity vs a custom build

Enterprise reporting without starting from scratch.

A custom Power BI project can produce strong reporting, but your firm carries the development cost, timeline and ongoing maintenance. Practice Clarity provides a managed platform already designed for accounting firms.

What could clarity be worth?

The cost of reporting is not only the platform fee.

Delayed billing, ageing WIP, declining recoverability and overdue debtors can cost significantly more than the reporting used to identify them. The value depends on the size and performance of your individual firm.

Illustrative recovery example
$3M WIP actioned annually
2% improvement in recovery
$60K potential annual improvement

This example demonstrates the calculation only. It is not a guarantee of the results your firm will achieve.

Illustrative value $60,000 Potential annual recovery improvement
01

Protect recoverability

Identify the clients, jobs and staff results where margin is beginning to slip.

02

Shorten billing delays

Surface WIP and draft invoices that are waiting longer than they should.

03

Improve collections

See what is overdue and what is due next before invoices become larger cash-flow problems.

Use your firm’s numbers to estimate the potential payback and compare it with the expected investment.

Are all five reporting modules included?

Yes. Timesheet compliance, productivity, WIP, billings and recoverability, and debtors are included as one connected reporting suite. You do not purchase each core module separately.

Can we use our existing Power BI licences?

Yes. Firms with suitable existing Power BI licensing can use the $30 + GST per-user monthly option. We will confirm whether your current Microsoft licensing is suitable during scoping.

What if we do not have Power BI Pro licences?

The $55 + GST per-user monthly option includes a Power BI Pro licence for each Practice Clarity user, so there is no separate Power BI Pro licence charge for those users.

How is the implementation fee calculated?

Standard implementation pricing is based on firm size: $5,000 for 5–15 staff, $10,000 for 16–40 staff and $15,000 for 41–80 staff. Firms with more than 80 staff receive a tailored quote.

What does implementation include?

Implementation includes the read-only data connection, data modelling, Azure setup, reporting configuration, row-level security, user access, rollout, training and agreed refinements.

How long does implementation usually take?

A standard implementation typically takes approximately six weeks once the required scope and data access have been confirmed.

What ongoing support is included?

Up to five hours of support is included each month for assistance, reporting questions and agreed platform refinements. Platform maintenance and ongoing improvements are also included.

Are the published prices inclusive of GST?
